On Jan. 10, 2026, a forum was held by Bohai University (BU) for people outside the Communist Party of China (CPC) to further learn and implement the main contents of President Xi Jinping's thoughts on CPC united front work. It was chaired by LIU He, vice-secretary of BU's CPC Committee, and attended by some leaders from related sections of BU including CONG Maoguo, secretary of BU's CPC Committee, and ZHAO Jianguo, president of BU, and people outside CPC, some of whom are members of minority parties. At the forum, they exchanged ideas about the learning and the making of BU's "15th Five-year Planning."
