On Oct. 28, 2024, a special learning meeting was held by the Political Learning Central Group of Bohai University's CPC (Communist Party of China) Committee for learning the essence of President Xi's two letters respectively written in reply to the university students attending the international university students' innovation competition and to teachers and students of Ocean University of China. At the meeting, which was presided over by CONG Maoguo, secretary of Bohai University's CPC Committee, who made a speech about the importance of learning the essence of the letters, the audience learned that Chinese President Xi Jinping pays high attention to the growth and development of the youth and to the building of China into a powerful country through education. Xi is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission. Members of the central group participated in the learning, and they also learned the significant role played by education in building China into a modern socialist country.
