On the morning of May 9, 2023, Bohai University (BU) held a conference to promote the political and ideological theme education. It aims to implement Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, and to further study the essence of 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. At the conference which was hosted by him, LIU Yang, secretary of BU's CPC Committee, summarized the education in the previous stage and proposed some requirements for the future stage in the theme education.
