On Oct. 10, 2026, a political learning enlargement meeting was held in the Music Hall of Bohai University (BU) by the Political Theory Learning Central Group of Bohai University's CPC (Communist Party of China) Committee to learn Xi Jinping's Important Thought on Strengthening and Improving Ethnic Work and the essence of "The Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China." It was presided over by CONG Maoguo, secretary of Bohai University's CPC Committee, who made a speech about the necessity of the learning. At the meeting, it was pointed out that it was important to learn the thought of President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, and the essence of the law. Prof. Chen Yongliang from Southwest University was invited to make a report on the importance and main content of "The Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China."
