A group of people led by ZHAO Jianguo, president of Bohai University (BU), attended the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference, which was held in Beijing from Nov. 15 to 17, 2024. There were more than 2,000 people of various levels from more than 160 countries and regions participating in the conference. President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, wrote a congratulation letter to the conference, expressing his good hope for the 20th anniversary for founding of Confucius Institute. After the opening ceremony, President Zhao signed an agreement with Tajikistan International Studies University. During the conference, he also had a meeting with the representatives from two Confucius institutes of Bohai University.
