Bohai University's 5th Traditional Chinese Poetry Competition was held Jun. 13, 2024, which was attended by some school leaders including LIU Yang, secretary of Bohai University's CPC Committee, and MA Guo-qing, ex-vice-president of Bohai University (BU) and honorary president of Jinzhou City Poetry Society. Mr. WANG Zilong, third prize winner of CCTV's Chinese Poetry Competition Season 2, was invited to participate in the competition. Secretary Liu said highly of the contest, pointing out that we should inherit the traditional Chinese heritage—classical Chinese poetry and contribute more to the revitalization of Chinese culture. President Ma congratulated BU for its success of the competition, hoping more students would be engaged in the learning of traditional Chinese poetry.
