On Apr. 3, 2024, a list was released by Chinese International Education Foundation to reward 31 institutes and organizations with the honorary title of the "Excellent Confucius Institutes in Media Management 2023." As one of such institutes and organizations, (Bohai University) Confucius Institute at University of Burundi was rewarded with such an honorary title, which serves as an affirmation of the contributions made by the institute in the past year, encouraging it to do more for the development of Chinese internation education.
