According to the recent results from Liaoning Provincial Vocal Music Competition for Youth, three students, who were guided by Shi Jian-hua, a music teacher of Bohai University (BU) College of Music, won the Excellence Prize in the bel canto group, and one student, who was directed by Guan Xin, a music teacher of the same college, got the Excellence Prize in the folk music group. The competition results helped to enhance BU's influence at the provincial level, and aroused the interest of BU's students in participating the higher level of competitions.
